Hi looking for abit of advice my home is currently up for sale. I am on universal credits and have 3 children my father lives in a 2 bedroom council flat he works so pays his rent. would me and my 3 children be allowed to move in with him the living room is large so was thinking of using this as another bedroom would the council allow this? i am from Northern Ireland thanks

Some councils do not have children in flats .

its a two bed so I doubt they would allow it anyway as it would be overcrowded . Also depending on his tenancy would depend on whether it could be amended to add you as a joint tenant - also a big risk to your dad should you fall out / not pay etc

Does your dad even want this situation ?! Seems a very odd choice to make yourself overcrowded in a small flat with 3 children . This wil not get you housed by the council quicker .

Would this be long term or just for a stop gap until you get somewhere else? Short term it wouldn't impact his tenancy however, it might if a permanent move as you would be making the home statutory overcrowded.
