Fire servicing charges for period property

Hi all,

I'm a would-be FTB and was hoping for some advice. I've seen a one bed period flat that I like, but I'm put off by the fire servicing charges. It's £2,300 for the year (the building is divided into two flats so £1,150 per flat). I thought that this might be an error given the type of property it is (it's a semi-detached Victorian house). Does this charge sound about right? The landlord is a housing association.

I've queried the charge with the EA but have been told that it is a standard charge. I've also tried to contact the housing association directly, but no response so far.
