We replaced our oil burner a few months ago and am puzzled by the next step. Our old boiler was in our utility room and had switches for heating/hot water/both and a timer (it was approx 30 years old), we also have a stove with a back boiler. The new burner is outside and just plugged in to an old fashioned timer inside. This is what the plumber did (he was excellent, sorted out issues that had been there since the house was built) but he said an electrician was needed for the next part, I've no problem with hiring an electrician but I've no idea what we need, we'd like to just heat water or rads as needed, to be able to set a timer and to manage it remotely at times. Has anyone a similar set up and what recommendations would you make??
