Poor management company

There is 2 weeks left till my mortgage offer expires. We are waiting for the fire and asbestos assessment for our buyer as they want to rent out the property. Our solicitor has an email from our management companying stating that they had been sorting the assessments out which was dated the 7th of August, we have been chasing them since and just found out that they still haven't done it yet, I am not sure at this point if we can make it. If our sale falls through because of them I am just wondering who I could complain to as we will lose the sale and money because of them.

Many thanks

Get in touch with Lease-Advice.org and ask what comeback (if any) you have.

And get your solicitor onto them a bit more forcefully pointing out you're on the verge of losing your sale.

Thanks for the reply. I will have a look at the link. Our solicitor and ourselves have been chasing them. There have been many emails between our solicitor and the management company regarding this so we have plenty of evidence against them. It's just not fair, because of them we will lose money and the property we want, it's so stressful. I hope there is some protection for us.

Management companies are money gouging workshy vultures (can you tell I have suffered with them?)

CrotchetyQuaver · 07/10/2023 19:48

Honestly, I'd take the time out of my day to go to their office and get really shitty with them face to face. I have actually done this myself and it did achieve the desired outcome

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. I did go to their office twice because i have been waiting for the reports since August but they don't seem to care. If there is no protection for people then I guess they will just do what they want. I may write to my local MP, I can't just sit here losing money because of them.
