So we had an insurance claim on our house , a large one. We lived in temp accommodation while the building work was completed. At the point we were due to move back the surveyor did an inspection. He found a few snags and signed off on agreement snags would be completed. We moved back in and snags were resolved. A few weeks after we moved in the bath panel started to crack (panel not bath itself) we contacted the builder who instructed the plumber to fix it. This was 4 months ago, so far the plumber has booked in 6 times and not showed up with me or dh rearranging work to wait in . He doesn't let us know and always has an excuse- injuries (twice) van breaking down (twice), traffic or emergency. He never calls to rearrange and ignores all calls and messages. After a couple of months of this I went back to the surveyor but he just keeps messaging the plumber to get in touch, the plumber gives us a day, doesn't turn up and the process starts again . The crack is getting worse and I'm fed up of chasing it. I've offered to purchase a panel (it's an unusual shape bath so has to be a specific one) get it fitted and send a bill but the surveyor keeps ignoring the suggestion.
Any clues where I can go next. ? Is there someone I can complain to above surveyor or should I go back to insurance company? Or to a regulatory body? Thanks
