Hello
we are thinking about moving to uckfield. We don’t live a million miles away now but don’t know East Sussex at all really. Is it a nice place to live? We have three DC. All in primary, one in year 5 so need to know what primary and secondary schools are like too! Any advice? Thank you x

I don't live in uckfield but live about 20 minutes away and go there fairly frequently to potter about the town. My parents lived there with me and my sister for about 4 years when were small. I personally think uckfield is a lovely place, it has quite a villagey feel to it despite being a town and I find the people to be very friendly, much more so than the commuter town I live in. It has nice parks, you can get to towns like Tunbridge wells and Lewes easily, close to Brighton and Eastbourne for beach vibes, nice national trust places nearby, trainline to London. I don't know much about schools there I'm afraid. Me and my husband have often spoken about moving there and I would happily do so!

Hi @Teenteentitans!
did you make the move to Uckfield? We had a look at the new builds in Ridgewood. I actually liked the town centre. Will also be commuting 3x a week to London.

If you did move, how are you finding the primary school? If I did move, the closest non faith would be Harlands but I worry about getting a place for my DD whose in reception currently.
