Help!

Ive sold my furnished flat and was desperately hoping buyers would want my things at a cost .
They don't

I've a fully finished flat with all the furniture to shift and I paid a lot for it - where does one sell good quality pieces? I've a four poster bed from the white company as well as gorgeous glass dresser and mirrors...

I feel so sad about giving it all way for free

People generally have their own things.

Some furnishings depreciate at a very quick rate, and additionally 'gorgeous' is a subjective term.

You could try Facebook marketplace or Gumtree.

I ended up giving things away for free, some things I sold but only at a large markdown on price, there is a time constraint as well.

If you feel bad why not ask the British Heart Foundaction to collect it, at least they benefit then.

Furniture depreciates very rapidly. List everything on Gumtree or similar but expect to get only a fraction of purchase price. Or find a friendly relative with some storage space until you have a new home.

If you love the stuff then store it.

If not, ebay or Facebook marketplace is a good shout. I've had a lot of time wasters and tyre kickers on Gumtree so I avoid it.

Agree with PP that British Heart Foundation are great if you do need to donate - they'll come and collect.

If its a lot of stuff the easiest thing to do is call a couple of your local house clearance guys. They won't give you a lot but you won't need to do anything.
