Haywards Heath Areas

Hi, we're thinking of moving to Haywards Heath from Hounslow, West London, and have noticed that it is a fair bit cheaper in the 'bentswood' area. Is there a reason for this? We've been to the town before and thought it was nice enough but we don't want to move into a 'bad area' of it by mistake. Is it noticeably worse than other areas of the town or are we panicking for nothing?
Thank you.

It's definitely the 'bad' area of Haywards Heath. Not sure how it compares to Hounslow though. It has noticeably higher unemployment than the rest of the town, it's around 6 or 7% in some streets looking online.
In 2019, 161 crimes were reported near Bentswood Crescent . 35% of streets in the UK are more dangerous. This seems to be worse than the rest of the town but again I guess it depends on what you're used to.

Compared to Hounslow it is fine. Haywards heath overall is a very nice area. But that part is a bit more chavvy.

What's your budget and what kind of size property are you looking for? If you had the funds, have you considered Lindfield which is the lovely village next to HH and walkable, about 15 minutes into HH town.
