What would you do differently next time you sell and buy a home at the same time?

Or what do you wish you'd known before you started the process? New to this and need ALL the tips!!

What I'd do differently is simply not do it. Next time, I'll sell my house first, move into rental, before buying the next. I'd also move heaven and earth not to be in a chain for either. It's an absolute nightmare being in a chain and even moreso if you're buying/selling at the same time. The cost of a few months rental is a small price to pay for not having the stress!

Getting the keys at 4pm after spending 3h on the drive at -2 def in January, it was somewhat disappointing to find the heating didn't work and we all slept in one bed together. After the lights fused out too.
