I’m after some advice as I’m going round in circles. We have had an offer on our house for the asking price which should be cause for celebration but there is nothing that we want to view. Should we go into rented and wait until spring or should we take it off the market and wait until next year?

We do have a dog and I have been told it’s hard to rent with a dog?

If anyone has any advice it would be helpful.

We sold at the peak last year and decided to rent. We are moving out of the area and wanted to take our time buying in the new area and be chain free. We put all the equity from the sale into the highest interest 12 month accounts we could find.

This more than covers the rent. Our landlord has been great and not put the rent up so we signed up over the summer for another nine months. The market is uncertain and I’m not in a rush to buy.

We also have a dog and a child still at home. It’s not for everyone but I like the freedom of renting.
