We’ve bought a house that we’re doing a bit of work to, main thing is taking down 2/3 of a wall to create a u-shaped open plan area. We know where the kitchen, dining and living spaces will be but I just can’t get my head around what I want the kitchen to be like in terms of colours - be that paint, tile, cupboard etc. I’ve always had a clear idea in my head when we’ve decorated any room but I think because this will be so big I can’t seem to picture it so am struggling.
I love the look of Naked Kitchens and Sustainable Kitchens but also would like to buy second hand if we can. I def want it to be light and sunny and happy but we’ll have a large long wall of window so plenty of light and I like colour too - it would be nice to be bold but I can’t get my head around how that would be. I really like the japandi style so maybe natural colours are best?! And then how it bleeds through to the other areas. I hate white walls with a passion!
where the room bends round the “u” will be a den/sitting/tv area that we will def colour block, prob walls and ceiling as well as flooring as we love that look and it will help section out the space a bit, but you won’t see it until you walk all the way round the kitchen then into the dining space of that makes sense, so it will be a bit of a reveal
anyone want to show me theirs for inspo?
