Getting rid of damp smell following a leak

We've just had a roof leak, I think it went on for a couple of months before we realised what the smell was being caused by. It's all fixed but it still smells horrible . Any tips for getting rid of the smell? It's not mouldy but there is a damp patch on the ceiling.

Have you had a dehumidifier running? Generally insurance companies would do this, a big industrial one to dry everything out.

Otherwise you can get an ozone generator to neutralise odours. Car detailers use them to get rid of smells in cars. Make sure nobody is in the house when it's running though. Youtube is your friend to see how they work.
