Hanwell feedback

We are considering Hanwell for our next move. Looks well connected and cute. I am curious to know how the community is there and whether it is too quiet? Does the Elizabeth line work well there?

I lived there for several years but moved away before the Elizabeth line came. I loved it… wouldn’t say it was quiet but you don’t have big shops right on your doorstep, you would need to do a short bus ride to Ealing Broadway for most of the restaurants, shop, cinema etc. Hanwell has some nice pubs and lots of green space.

We used to live in old Hanwell and I loved it. Great mix of independent cafes, pubs (dog and child friendly) and great connections- Piccadilly line (Boston manor), Elizabeth line (Hanwell) and central/district line (Ealing broadway).

We only moved because we wanted a semi detached house with a big garden- the housing stock didn't accommodate that.
