Personally, I prefer D (with or without the seating area door blocked off). But I think the idea of having the utility open plan, removing the door issue works.
And if you want an island A is an excellent way forward.

I started typing a reply to your original post this morning... and was going to post pics but the day just disappeared!

We have more or less A (with the wall so many said to remove!) but the furthest part of your kitchen is our closed off utility room. We spend 90% of our time in here and use the separate living room for chilling out after the kids have gone to bed. Works perfectly for us.
