Plastering

Got desperate and used the first available plasterer with a good reputation. He's done my ceilings in my hall stairs and landing. Done my very small bathroom walls and ceiling. Patched up lots in the hall stairs and landing which needed doing. Also some a wall about 2m wide. He's charged me £500. Does this seem reasonable? I need more doing in a few months so not sure if he's expensive and whether to have him back. His work seems ok.

Seems reasonable to me.
how many days was he there for?

Bellybootcut · 19/09/2023 17:14

Seems cheap if anything. Plastering us usually quite expensive.

Rainraingoawaycomebackanotherday · 19/09/2023 17:15

Seems very cheap. How long did it take him? Did he not quote for the job?

JohnNolan · 19/09/2023 17:22

Seems cheap to me

2.5 days.
Long story but he'd quoted for something else that couldn't be done until a later date.

Wow, I don’t know where you’re based but that’s very cheap!

choochooallaboard · 19/09/2023 18:32

Oh really? Nothing needed boarding.

Are you hoping for people to tell you it’s expensive? It isn’t. The cost of materials and labour has shot up, and here you have someone charging just £200 a day, which covers materials, tax and transport.

Oneearthtwoparts · 19/09/2023 18:45

Total bargain based on recent experience!

choochooallaboard · 19/09/2023 19:31

No I just wanted to know whether I'd been charged a reasonable amount so I can give him future work

BotterMon · 19/09/2023 19:38
