I've just bought my first home, and it's come with a parking space which is in an off-road set of garages. How do I mark this space as mine the estate is highly sought after in terms of commuter parking on the streets, so the roads themselves are permit parking? The space is surrounded by privately owned garages on 2 sides and a fence to the back. Can I put signage up or paint on the fence or wall or even the road? I assume as the space in terms of the ground is my property I can do what I want with it?
