Potentially relocating from Leeds to Penicuik in a couple of months. I know the town centre is fairly run down, but what is the area generally like safety wise, particularly carlops crescent which is a council state primarily I believe. I have young kids with strong Yorkshire accents and I'm concerned about safety, crime rates and acceptance into a well established housing estate. Many thanks from a confused mama.
