Does anyone know how to get hold of old land registry maps? Before any updates may have been added.

Pay for an original copy of an old conveyance via an OC1 form at land registry. It could have more than the online register shows.

I think recently there has been a change made because my neighbour and the neighbours that back onto us have been in a dispute over a strip of land that runs between them. I had feeling for a while that this was a walk way to the garages behind but seen more evidence that it was. Now, i don't know if the court have finalised who has the land but wanted to see if this was so before it goes through as I would like access to the garages as its a bit of a walk to any space around there. I don't know whether I can make a change to the court proceedings but I need to be sure this is certain before I contact anyone.

Not sure what you mean. Do you want an old title plan or do you want to view an old Ordnance Survey base map? Old title plans can be requested on form HC1:
