Need some help understanding what needs doing and how much we should be budgeting. We’ve just bought a small 1.5 bed cottage in a bit of a sorry state (damp, asbestos) and we’re waiting for the results of an asbestos survey at the moment. After that, we want to soft strip it all back to the gorgeous yorkshire stone, re wire, re plumb, plaster, new floors, new bathroom and new kitchen. Take out the attic and vault the ceilings too, adding a couple of skylights. I can’t stress how small it is - essentially two rooms on top of each other!
No extending for now (green belt so planning is difficult) It’s not listed.
any idea how much this kind of thing will cost?? Or how long it would take?
