Rental home - replacing hob

I currently live in a rented house and have accidentally broke the electric hob. 2 rings have cracked and unusable. Is it okay to replace myself with the exact same or should I inform the landlord?

I would inform the landlord and tell him how you are planning on buying and getting a new hob professionally installed

I think you need to tell the landlord so a new one can be professionally installed and their insurance is still valid.

Sorry I didn’t mean I was going to fit it myself, obviously I’d get it professionally done but thank you I’ll let the landlord know
