DH and I have a budget of 500K ish for our first home and we are considering moving from London to the likes of Hersham or possibly Walton on Thames.
We want to be well connected to London and with a relatively short commute, hence why we are considering these areas. I have seen a few houses in Hersham within our budget but I'll admit I don't know the area well.
Does anyone here live there? What schools would you recommend look into (state)? We have a newborn so not an immediate priority but definitely something we need to take into account, as well as nurseries. The houses I have seen are close to Burhill and Bell Farm schools for example but even though the distance between the two is not much, there seem to be a big road in between so I assume it's not walkable?
Any tips would be very welcome, thanks.
