New build issue

Just completed on my dream place and very happy!

One issue is that the laundry room (cupboard!) will not fit a standard (600mm) washing machine/dryer. Definitely a design fault. I didn't bring my machines so I'm buying new but should I be ok with this?
The Curry's website only has one 580mm machine on it - it's over £500 and doesn't give me much choice...
What do you think about this?

I would say that's a building error. Can you get the plans for dimensions of what it's meant to be?

That’s crap and I wouldn’t accept it. Who builds a cupboard too small for the appliance it’s designed to house?
