Hello

does anyone owns flat in a block that uses a property management agent to
look after the building on behalf of the owners?

we are looking for something like this in the Cornwall area, any recommendations?

We use KFH which is not too bad, they are generally responsive and the development is well run. We were with First Port for a few years and we couldn't wait to get rid of them (you have to Goggle them as they keep changing the company name every few years), stay away from them! We set up a Residents Association which gives the residents a say in how the development is run .

Sorry I forgot to say that we are in London. I am not sure if KFH covers Cornwall .

Thanks for replying, it’s really helpful, I’ll look them up.

I just saw first port before you mentioned them - reviews are awful!

Yep,awful and difficult to get rid of. They over-promise and under-deliver,the residents are just treated like a cash-cow.

I’ve got one like that currently!

Just popped in to share my two cents on residential real estate management. It can be a real mixed bag, huh? Dealing with managing agents is like navigating a minefield sometimes! Some are absolute gems, making your life easy-peasy lemon squeezy, while others... not so much. From my experience, finding the right managing agent is like striking gold. They handle all the nitty-gritty stuff, like repairs and maintenance, so you can kick back and relax. But when you're stuck with a dud, it's like pulling teeth to get anything done!
