What reason for no showers?

My daughter sent me the link for this house.

It's been discounted for other reasons and there are baths but no showers!

Other than personal preference what would be the reason for not installing showers?

I actually prefer a bath to a shower but I'm surprised to see no showers in a modern house.

Head height in the second bathroom looks like the issue- I’m not convinced you could stand up except right in the centre of that room. In the other I think the window is partially over the bath and the plumbing is at that end so the window would literally be in the shower if you put one in above the taps. It wouldn’t be a massive job to solve that though so maybe worth viewing in person if she otherwise likes the house and would have a couple of grand spare after purchase?

Ah sorry just saw discounted for other reasons so ignore the last bit!

Terrible water pressure? Too tight to install electric showers which are expensive to run?

Kinda looks like head height to me.

It's a lovely house, so I'd be inclined to find a way around it. Maybe leave the one with the low ceiling as it is and get rid of the bath in the other one and have a big walk-in shower. Water pressure can be fixed with a pump in most cases.

Thank you. Yes head height does seem most likely. Another house in the road was up for sale last year and I think they had a shower.

The reason for my daughter not being interested is that there is a plot of land between the house and the next and will most likely have a house built at some point so there will be building work/noise going on.
