I'm helping my DAunt manage her house. The house is in an English city. DA is back in her home country and probably won't return to live in the UK, but she hasn't definitely decided yet, so she doesn't want to sell at this stage.
She 100% has her marbles and anything I do will be with her approval. However, I do feel responsible for advising her, as I'm the one in the UK (she has adult children in her home country but none of them has ever lived long-term in the UK, so they are not clued up on property here).
DA has heard about a scheme where you can lend your property to - she thinks - a women's refuge charity. They manage it for you and use it for women who need accommodation. She thinks the owner does get some income from the property too, although this isn't necessarily a deal-breaker for her.
Has anyone heard of this or done it? If so, would you recommend? TIA.
