Patio costs

Hi
Just wondering if anyone has had a porcelain patio laid recently and has any indication of costs? We've got an old concrete patio, a weird L shape that I want squaring off, extending and laying with porcelain tiles. It's about 35sqm in total. I've had one quote of over 5k plus vat. I was expecting it to be at least 4K, but this is higher than I hoped.
Has anyone got any recent costings they could share? They're a really good local company so I'd like to say yes. Im trying to get another quote but it's taking ages and I need to say yes or no to this one.
Thanks

Expect around £150 per sq metre ….to include materials & laying
maybe more if they need to use compactor
bacon sandwiches for crew will be extra!
more if you need old slabs taken away
more if you live in south east….god knows why geography matters but it seems to!

Ok so that sounds about the going rate then. The quote I've had does say it includes waste removal etc, so actually I think it's a fair price. I'll factor in bacon sandwiches, good call!
Having to book now to get it done next spring, everyone seems incredibly busy. But good to know that as it's clearly going to need more saving up than I thought.
