Moving to Wadhurst area?

Hi all,

My fiance and I are currently exploring potential places to buy outside of London. Ideally we'd like to find something within 1h of London by direct train and in a leafy area. Our budget is around £600k for a 3 bed with a garden. We are planning on having one child in the next few years. So far we've really loved Guildford, Godalming and Lewes.

We're now planning on exploring other areas in East Sussex and have heard that a few places along the train line to Hastings are worth checking out. These are Frant, Wadhurst and Stonegate.

Does anyone familiar with the area have any thoughts on these areas?

Frant and is very much a village and Frant station is actually in Bells Yew Green. The trains often stop for a few minutes ‘rest’ at Tunbridge Wells before carrying on there. Wadhurst is a bit more substantial but still quite villagey. Stonegate is quite remote. You might be better looking at Tunbridge Wells, as that would be your nearest town to Frant and Wadhurst anyway…
