My flooring in my living room slopes a bit I think it’s to do with the joists. Does anyone know how much this will roughly cost to fix.

It depends on why it’s sloping and how big it is! If the joists have perished due to damp it will be £100s.

Last week my DH went up to one of our btl houses we haven't let out yet, removed an old joist, replaced with another one he cemented into walls at both sides of the room. Then he replaced some old floor boards, removed skirtings, floor was then level and he put green boards then laminate down. He is up there today putting on new skirtings and moving on to the dining room. He took 2 days to do the sitting room. He is not a carpenter but an accountant. I'm sure a carpenter could go more quickly. He did it himself because he was quoted £785 + vat which he thought was too expensive.

We fixed the wonky floors earlier this year in our small 2 bed Victorian terrace (had gaps between floor and skirting 5cm in some places!!). cost came in at £2k (excl VAT!) per room for levelling and reinstalling the existing flooring. This is London prices tho, and was labour only, new flooring material would cost extra, extra also for vermin mesh and insulation (worth doing for energy efficiency).
