When did you paint/decorate your new build?

My new house should be ready end of October and I was thinking about painting in March-ish. The developer uses bright white in kitchens/bathrooms and a very pale grey everywhere else, which is fine but I want to make it mine!

I know all the colours I’m going to use and I’m impatient so if anyone says they did it sooner I will be 😂

Yeah if there’s snagging the developer has to repaint with their colour, they can’t use mine. I’m happy with that though, it’s not a big deal!

The first flat I bought was brand new and although this was 20+ years ago (cringe!!) I definitely didn’t wait a year before painting!

I did some godawful rag rolling design in the living room (90s trends!! 😂😂) before painting the hallway yellow, the kitchen peach and the bedroom turquoise!

It was all absolutely fine, didn’t have any issues at all. I’d give it a few months to settle but I don’t think I’d wait a year tbh……
