Bioethanol burners...

Also posted in chat! Dull topic but has anyone got one of these?? Been wanting a log burner for so long and will soon be in a position to get one but kind of put off by the eco impact, the mess/laying effort (I'm lazy 🤷🏼‍♀️) and the initial cost!

Everything I've read says bioethanol burners are a great alternative - if less heat-effective, but it wouldn't be our primary heat source - economical, eco friendly, you can move them from room to room, and even toast marshmallows on them!

Anyone any other pros or cons to help my decision I'd be very grateful!!

We have one, much cheaper and less hassle than the alternatives to have an actual flame. It does give out noticeable heat, not nearly as much as a Woodburn or the like though. There is a slight aroma, not really unpleasant but there is, we added a scented candle. Also recommend a carbon monoxide monitor, ours went off once when we'd had the burner going for ages and hadn't ventilated at all.
