I'm renovating our stairs and I'd like to add a runner - I'm not entirely sure how to go about designing the runner -colour combinations and the design and how it all comes together - is this something they will do on a 3-d plan. I assume all the painting needs to be done before the carpet is laid? Tips on order/design/pics etc would be very helpful. Thanks!
