Just after some advice I have received a quote for new windows but it doesn't include VAT, it states exc VAT. Does this mean VAT will be added after the quote?

Assuming the company quoting makes less than £80k per year, yes, VAT will be added.

When selling to consumers who would pay VAT, it should always be listed in the price though.

I would imagine so.

I can't imagine any window supply and fit not being VAT registered as the turnover is only £85k a year which isn't many orders.

Just ask them but the ways it's been noted I'd assume 20.percent more to be added

They ought to have stated the VAT price if they are eligible to charge it. Just ask them.

Normally vat would be due, however we had our windows restored, Victorian house and I think the guy thought the house was listed did not charge vat, still cost around £20,000.
