Tiling dilemma

I’m tiling my kitchen and want to stack the tiles like in the photo. But I have this awkward gap below the cabinets. What would people do?
I’m thinking cover it with some kind of moulding?? but it’s a shame because I already took off the ugly old trim from the bottom of the cabinets to try to make them look more modern.

Any advice from anyone who’s is a diy pro? I’m stressing because I wanted to get it done this weekend and now I’m just stalling over this.

You could put a different border tile in, or cut the tiles to fit the gap

What putting a border tile at the bottom so that the main tiles reach the bottom of the cabinets? That would also disguise the join between the counter and the wall.

Hello. Thanks for replying. The advice from professionals is to not have tiles cut smaller than half. But maybe it would look better than some trim? Not sure. I don’t really want to buy any more tiles.

The best thing would be to lower the cabinets but there’s no way I could do that by myself and it would probably create new problems like ripping the plaster off.

By border tile do you mean the tires I have turned on the side, or buying another type of tile?

Border tiles come in lots of sizes, so you should be able to find one that is exactly right for the space.
