Garage conversion

We live in a 3 bed detached property with an attached garage. The third bedroom is tiny (bed in there and nothing else kind of small). So I was getting a quote for a garage conversion. Standard, nothing special with an ensuite toilet/shower.
Are their any tradespeople that can tell me what it would expect to cost on average for a single attached garage conversion (I know it can vary a lot). Or could someone who has had one tell me what they paid?
I've been quoted 26k. Seems a hell of a lot

Thanks in advance

It cost about that for my detached garage to be converted into a (nice) office space a couple of years ago and that wasn't with a bathroom, so it doesn't surprise me actually. With costs having gone up so much to me that sounds like a decent price if it includes everything?!

From your title,I was going to say 10k.
Add in a bathroom - another 10k, plus some plumbing modifications, and I don't think it's a million miles out.

I converted our internal garage into a bedroom and wet room in 2022. It was part of a bigger project but even with that saving it was £22k. £26k sounds about right.
