Anyone know how to fix this?

We are moving into a property which has all sorts of damage to floors and skirting boards partly age but partly due to a dog living in the property.

long term we plan to extend and completely renovate but in the short term does anyone know how best to fix deep scratches to wall corners and skirting boards - do we think just some sort of caulk/polyfilla on walls and wood filler on skirting and then lots of sanding/painting??

Easyfil 60 on the walls, and a 2 part wood filler on the skirting. Use a caulking board, or a filling knife and get it as level as you can to minimise rubbing down.

You'll need at least 2 passes as the first pass will shrink back a small amount, so don't worry about trying to do it all in one go. Also, if you have deep holes, fill from the middle of the hole outwards to avoid air spaces in the filler.
