Asbestos Insulation Boards

Hello! You were all massively helpful when I posted a wee while ago about layout of home we are buying, was genuinely blown away! I now have another question about something the survey turned up on that property as we are having trouble getting in contact with the surveyor who did the report for him to help understand, and it’s holding things up now at our end as due to complete soon. I have attached a picture here of the bit we are concerned about: Asbestos Insulation Boards. Can’t find definitive answers online but basically to me these boards sound ‘internal’ (as insulation) and obviously mention of asbestos potentially being internal is a bit of a flag for me! Is this common and ok? Or something I need to ask our vendor to check out? TIA! X

They can be used anywhere tbh. If you scroll down this link there is a diagram that shows where it can be.

We’ve had two houses with insulation board soffits. It hasn’t been an issue to move. Yours could be soffits too, it doesn’t necessarily mean internal.

Oh thank you so much, that’s actually a really useful link! Would still be more comfortable knowing exactly where they are but the rest of the house had minimal issues (basically mention of garage wood beetle and then something to do with ground level not being low enough for air bricks). So I’m sure hopefully it’s more external as you say as the rest of the house really is in great nick and seems to have been well taken care of!
