Moving day cleaning

Please enlighten me, I want to leave a house as clean as humanly possible so it is nice for incoming owners but with move out and move in day is the sane day, how does one thoroughly clean in the non existent gap between us moving out and then moving in?

From a few days before- start to ‘close down’ each room if possible. Move everything out, clean, shut the door etc.

If that’s not doable, start to clean down areas, e.g. window sills, doors etc. Then when hoover once every room is cleared on moving day.

Clean each room as you pack it then just hoover round once all the boxes are loaded.

This is my job today. Packers come in tomorrow for completion Thursday and I'm determined to get it nice. However it's so hard as we haven't packed so there's lots of stuff about. I hope I can clean today, then tomorrow after lots is on the van and a final bit before we walk out of the door on Thursday. Good luck!

Just do your best. Tidy the house before the packers arrive and then afterwards as they go through each room. It probably won’t be pristine but it should be left basically clean & tidy.

Clean as you pack, we moved in 2021, up early all showered in one of the bathrooms so that could be cleaned, only downstairs cloakroom to be used, closest to the front door so that could be cleaned before we locked up. As removals clear the room, hoover and close the door. Once removals have left, we did a double check, said goodbye to our house, locked up and left. Good luck for moving day, it’s tiring but worth it.
