I have just came across this topic, and just want to say thank you and other mumsnetters. We bought 15 yrs old house, which initially looked really good bit now after 7 months we are getting issues. Leaking pipe, water tank not connected to the pressure cylinder. Today I’m getting thermostat replaced and potentially boiler fixed. Boiler is 15 yrs old so it may need to be replaced. I’ve got anxiety and issue with the house are not helping. Now, I’m obsessing about staines on a wall, it was kid’s bedroom so probably just stains as it is dry but again, I think it may be dampness. Worst case scenario of course, damp supper, water is coming through walls. I listen to every noise, crack, smell the walls to check for damp plaster. Full blown crazy 😛 This thread really helped me so THANK YOU.
