Conveyancing question

Hi all ,

looks like finally conveyancing is underway as we’ve had enquires from solicitors now - but I need some help … on the property information pack it asks when looking at your property from the road who is responsible for the front the back and left side and right …. I may be being stupid but we have a small 2 square metre section at the front so that’s ours and the back of the garden is ours .. but it’s a terrace house so no actual sides that doesn’t touch another property ?? So who is responsible?
I assumed the solicitors would check the title and boundary as I don’t have a clue !
I haven’t been at the property for over 4 years
Anyone help ?

It's referring to the boundary features - eg back fence, side fence, front wall etc

@Digimoor ok so it should show on the deeds ?

If you are not sure, then your reply needs to reflect that. For example " not known/please see deeds" .
If you have maintained any boundaries then you can add " we have maintained the boundary at the rear of the property/ we installed a new fence in 2019" or similar.
Just don't commit to anything you are not sure about. "Not known" is an acceptable answer.

Almost certainly not.

They normal only give a general indication of the boundary location, not who is responsible for maintaining a fence/wall/hedge.

@DelphiniumBlue yes I had already filled out the form and said unknown - but the enquiries came back and said please confirm it ! :(
