Shelf install

The property I moved into has wardrobes with hanging rail but no shelves. I've been thinking of buying wood shelves and some brackets and do a fit install. I thought tb&q cut to measure not sure if I'm mistaken though? Are there any places I can buy custom cuts of plywood to use for shelves please?

Im not sure but the bigger branches of diy stores might still cut to size. Failing that any timber merchant ,good one ( not builders merchant) or joinery workshop local to you will be able to cut some to size for you.
just make sure you get the sizes right and they will prefer them in millimetres

A quick google of

plywood cut to size

Should give you all you need.

They are expensive though. You could probably buy the uncut board and a jigsaw for less.

Jigsaws are for cutting shapes/ curves not straight.

Thanks for the advice. I could have sworn i read somewhere that shops will cut them for you. I will google and see how affordable these are -- a saw etc sounds like a tempting thing to get into but this will add to my humungous list of future DIY projects that I never get around to, so it may well be worth it to get them sawn to size.

Our local b&q has a big saw jig and they will happily cut anything you want to any size you want for free. Can sometimes be a bit of a queue so don’t go at peak times on a Saturday lunchtime etc.

I thought I totally dreamed it but later found that my local bnq do it! Yay!
