Hello,

Those who've bought leasehold "forever" homes does is it a worry you that you'll still have this cost once your mortgage is paid off, or do you just see it as another outgoing?

Also, thoughts on shared ownership please?

Thanks

It is the same as building insurance , roof repairs, gardeners etc when you own

our leasehold is much cheaper than our freehold to maintain. With the freehold just us to fix a leaky roof- leasehold 6 people are contributing

our leasehold costs are less than £1500 a year- our freehold is much more than that

Mine is share of freehold, the service charge covers buildings insurance and external maintenance and is similar to what I’d have to pay if maintaining a freehold and hopefully spread evenly (there’s a reserve fund) so no sudden big expenses.
