We are currently waiting for our new house to be finished being built, and really need to get ordering a sofa but feel I've left it too late as we just had our second DC last week. Now I'm worried we will be sitting on deck chairs when we move in😂

Where did you get your sofa? And how long did you have to wait?

Possibly moving in within the next 4-6 weeks maybe 8 week's maximum.

Thank you!

Sofa.com ex display for £800, down from around £2,700. Was able to pick up immediately.

We have ikea sofas. I wanted ikea for affordability of replacement covers. In fact when we bought them I didn’t like any of the cover options so bought without then bought covers from soferia. We also changed the sofa legs.

We got our Parker Knoll one from house of Fraser (sure you can get them in other places).

It’s utterly shit. It took 5 months to arrive. It’s awfully made, we’ve had to pay for the cushions to be repaired, generally misshapen within a few months with pretty light use. Really wouldn’t recommend. We’re tolerating it till we move so placemarking to see what recommendations you get OP.

John Lewis in 2016. Still going strong!

I have recommended sofa.com to everybody for years, however, it appears that things have changed....

Furniture village Duresta range.

Utter Wankers to deal with & delivered us a damaged sofa. We sent it back and complained they hadn’t delivered us a useable sofa.

Someone rang us back and said as luck would have it they had a sofa for us, cancelled order IT WAS THE SOFA WE HAD JUST SENT BACK.

@Nugg I ordered my new sofa, chair and footstool from Sofa.com in 2021 and have had no problems at all. I love mine and it's still in great condition and very comfortable.

Their customer service was great and the guys who delivered and fitted (really awkward tight space so had to go for a modular sofa) were lovely and very efficient.

DFS and it took about 4 months I think. It was a few years back.
