Quartzite Worktop joins

Hi, can anyone share their thoughts on this worktop joins around our sink.
it’s Taj Mahal Quartzite so it wasn’t cheap and these joins that they’ve done are offending me. Am I being picky or have I every right to complain?

I wouldn’t be happy with that at all OP. Looks like an amateur has installed it.

Definitely complain.

Your sink surround looks the same as mine, and it was cutout from one piece so I have no joins.

Fleur405 · 04/08/2023 23:51

They are indeed offensive! Especially when you no doubt paid £££ for the worktop and installation.

KievLoverTwo · 05/08/2023 02:59

Awful. Get them to swap for one piece.

C4tastrophe · 05/08/2023 06:36

What did you specify for the sink?
The joints look ok to me, I’d be more worried about the cracked piece.

Forgoodnesssakewhatnow · 05/08/2023 06:41

Ours are invisible so I wouldn’t be happy.

Is it a long run and a single piece unavoidable?

pilates · 05/08/2023 07:05

Yes agree it looks ugly. Mine was templated and so no joins.

Why go for joints at the sink?
Its the wetist and most likley to stain part of the counter top?

I would not be happy with the gap as it looks as if they cut the two bits short

This. And if there were any joins I wouldn't want white sealant - clear. That sealant will have mildew on it in no time being by the sink. And the sealant doesn't look well filled in and neat down the side. A cheap looking job on no doubt an expensive kitchen. I'd want a new one with no join.

@Wilko10 I am also thinking about having Taj Mahal quartzite as my kitchen worktops. May I please know if you are happy with them?

Not the OP, but we have Cristallo quartzite, which is similar to Taj Mahal (but a bit whiter), and absolutely love it.

Thank you @nojudge
