Hey

Can anyone recommend an oven that has the glass screwed in or non removable?

Thanks

What glass? What oven has unsafe glass in it?

Serendipitouscrow · 04/08/2023 20:37

The issue is the possibility of the glass being removable by a vulnerable adult. Most ovens the glass just slides right out

What glass though? The glass in the door is integral so I doubt it would come out.

Oven doors are usually made with a fixed outer glass on the outer face and a removable glass on the inner; some models need an allan key or star screwdriver to release them and some allow for the inner glass to be pulled out from the top for cleaning.

Pressed too soon. OP you might be able to fine the manual of your chosen model online and see from the instructions whether or not a tool is required for removal/cleaning

what glass - in the door? Glass in oven doors doesn’t slide out.

The only way is to visit curries or john lewis and look at the ovens on display

Lots of ovens have an inner glass panel of the door that can be removed for cleaning

Our oven is a Neff and it doesn't slide out, there's a clamping bar which is released with little hex screws. Do you mean fitted oven or free standing?

Sorry folks forgot about the thread

To clarify, most ovens have removable inner glass that slides out easily enough

I am specifically looking for a model where the glass requires a screwdriver or similar to remove the inner glass
