Twickenham “property” with “development potential”

London property market is just… 🤬

I think it could make a really loved crash pad , keep a lot of the glass - kitchen and shower room on one level , kitchen in another and one bedroom at the top. Be great for growing houseplants too - I bet that goes for well over £100k

At some point, estates agents have to put their collective feet down and say

"Don't be so fucking ridiculous!"

Jesus.

temosmail · 30/07/2023 20:27

That's weird but maybe a service charge collected? I don't know

MetalRat · 30/07/2023 20:39

@mrsbyers 😂
@Gingernaut yep totally … can you imagine the spin.. “stairway to prime London real estate … “
@temosmail do you mean as the owner you could charge the building it’s attached to for usage? Rent it out as an escape exit?

At least it comes furnished. Might be a ming vase in there.

MetalRat · 30/07/2023 20:56

@DudeItsPrawns yas! I’ve seen this one also 😂

i like the greenery on the stairs idea from @mrsbyers makes me think of this

I mean look at the stair riser ratio 😬

That's nightmare inducing. Plant soldiers marching to kill us all. Some even had medusa-style hair 😱

ACG84 · 30/07/2023 22:13

That ratio all the way to the top level without hand rails is MADNESS

ACG84 · 30/07/2023 22:14

You need a ladder, not stairs....!

Member589500 · 01/08/2023 19:07

That’s a lot of space in central Twickenham for £25k. Put some curtains up. Camping loo on one level. Bed on another. Great pied a terre! 😄
I would have thought one of the flat owners would have bought it. The flats would be minimum 400 and that’s a lot of extra storage.

Quoting from the purchaser from the article: “He adds that if it cannot be the pop-up venue he dreams of, he will use the stairwell as "a hangout place for entrepreneurs.”

🙄🙄🙄

Initially it seems bonkers, and he may not get permissions, but if he does, that's very cheap for a plot.

The Barbican one is nuts!

But I'm not surprised. I happened to catch a TV prog about another Barbican house created from a former service yard (or something similar) and it's was quite something and £££
