Dual fuel range cooker

Does anybody have a range master dual fuel (gas hob electric oven) that could advise on costs to use? Friends are telling me avoid electric ovens due to the cost of running compared to gas but the one I love only comes in electric or dual fuel 😭

Are the costs really that bad?

We used to have a duel fuel range before kitchen refurb. The electric oven is no more or less costly to run than a usual electric fan over. 0.83 Kwh.

Not a range master but we have a dual fuel range , electric is much more consistent for baking. I don't find it prohibitively expensive to use

I have a Rangemaster 100 dual fuel. I use the tall fan oven for most things, baking, pizza, lasagne etc. I only use the multi function oven for big roast dinners or when we have lots of family over. My hob is lpg gas so a bottle of gas lasts about 6 months. I use my airfryer for small things, but having both drawers on the air-fryer is the same electricity use as my fan oven.

I have a rangemaster and don't see any difference in cost to use? We only use the one part of the oven daily and it's probably smaller than a standard single oven?

We had a secondhand old one over Xmas and it cost an absolute fortune to run because it was desperately inefficient and expensive to run.

We replaced it with a two cavity new oven and that was far cheaper to run.

Just be mindful that if you use two or three cavities at the same time, you will have more expensive bills than using one cavity on a standard 60cm oven.

I have a rangemaster dual fuel. Haven't noticed any difference in cost.

I also have a Rangemaster fuel fuel and I think using the electric fan oven is expensive but you have to cook so a necessary expense. I try to not just put the oven on with 1 pizza though.

That's fab @InaHamletinaShire I also use air fryer for smaller things but use gas oven for a big roast, it's not bad if it's only costing the same thank you, was worried about getting my dream cooker and not being able to afford to use it 🤣
