AirBnB co-host or management recommendations

I'm selling my central London flat as I have moved location for my job. I was thinking of putting it on AirBnB or similar just for a couple of months until the purchase goes through. I can't afford to run two flats without a little bit of extra income to cover me over this transition. Has anyone else done something similar? Can you recommend a company to help market and manage the whole process? I know you can get property managers through AirBnB but I wondered if anyone had explored other options.

Sell it or long term lease it. AirBnB is an immoral scourge on the housing market.

Read my very first sentence @letsghostdance: I'm selling the flat. I'm not living in it. It's empty. I just need to rent it for a couple of months until completion.

It's ridiculously simple to manage yourself on the app as long as you have a good reliable cleaner.

You could get it all set up in advance and take bookings in advance prior to your moving out.

There's an Airbnb scheme if hosts recommend a new host both parties receive a payment. Happy to guide/recommend you if you don't know another host.

Hmmmm I think then perhaps you need something like Nestify who are London based.

I've a friend who used to use them and seemed reasonably happy with the set up.

stayathomegardener · 26/07/2023 19:28

Interesting to know how much they charge... quietly calculating my value.

I don’t think it will be worth it. It will cost a small fortune to set up with everything, and then paying someone to host/ photo/ clean etc won’t be cheap.

Thanks for the link.

The flat is in a v desirable area of London. Close to transport and tourist areas. I'd imagine it'll be quite in demand. But I def need to do my research.

A friend emailed all the estate agents in his area and they found him a short term let, it was someone going through a house renovation and just needed a few weeks.
