Fixtures and fittings forms outstanding

From past experience, this is one of the first things we've done when selling.
In week 6/7 of purchase in no chain & no mortgage and was told yesterday by the EA that these forms were still outstanding.
The house is empty (just been refurbished and ready to go).
Should I be worried that they are going to drag their feet?
I'm out of my house on Monday (didn't want to lose the sale) and have somewhere to stay for a short while but really need to settle the kids in asap.

If the house has been refurbished to sell (by a developer?) then it is very unlikely they don't want it sold ASAP to recoup their investment. I expect it is just an oversight but I would be hassling the EA to hassle the owner to get it sent to you ASAP. As the house is empty they may feel it's obvious what is staying (everything that is in there now) but your solicitor still needs the form.

I think it was done by a developer or a company. Are those forms mandatory?

I'm not sure if they are 100% mandatory but it's beneficial for you to receive one from the owner as it tells you what they are leaving behind in terms of carpets, curtains, oven, fridge, dishwasher etc and it's legally binding.

Normally your solicitor would be sending it out to them fairly early in the process. Maybe phone your solicitor today and mention it to them that it is outstanding and have they sent the forms out yet? If they sent them out weeks ago then you need to ask the EA to chase them to return the forms.

Solicitor just replied saying he's still waiting for the contract pack. 🙄
