Beko dishwasher - polystyrene???

I've just had an integrated Beko dishwasher delivered. It has polystyrene blocks either side of the top. They slide along, but don't come out. To remove them, you'd need to cut them out.

Should they stay in? I can't see anything about them in the manual and the Beko helpline isn't open until the morning. Anyone know?

What does the manual say? Would assume they are not to be removed, as they may be for soundproofing perhaps?

I see you have checked the manual 😂 Any luck on YouTube?

Google seems to suggest leaving it!

But your installer should know.

I have this exact issue. The manuals don’t mention it. Beko support referred me to the install video twice which doesn’t mention it.
in the end my installer left it in.
