Has anyone withdrawn an accepted formal offer to possibly bid on different house?

Just that really? I've posted a few times in this thread, I just don't know what to do.

I have a better feeling about a house I went to view after having a formal offer accepted on another house.

My current accepted house is a fairly large project, but Is in a better area and Is much bigger. But I prefer the ease of this other house, I get a good feeling being there. It is also offers over cheaper. There is also already a note of interest in the other house, so I think it may become a bidding war. So if I withdraw the formal offer, I risk having nothing as if I get in a bidding war and I lose, I have nothing.

Why would you withdraw? Offers don’t mean anything really.

Just bid on the new house and see if you get it,
then make a decision.

dont withdraw just see the other house

Are you in Scotland?

ScorchedGrass · 03/07/2023 14:45

Yes, we're in Scotland. Mortgage broker told me I couldn't place a formal offer on house 2 when I already have a formal offer on house 1.

I don't want to mess sellers or estate agents about, I just want to ensure we have a home.
